Soul Tapped and Stretched Out

Every year, ten women converge on a cabin in the woods to rest, relax and restore themselves. On this long weekend away from their families and work, they help each other emotionally and mentally recharge and have fun. While many aspects of this trip are sacred and shall be kept between the attendees, what I can share are the ways in which I’ve been changed by this experience.

This year we decided to do a spa day and bought in two very special ladies, Ayana and Dominique of Kneaded Essentials to lead us in breathing exercises, train us in a practice called Soul Tapping, and receive a Vedic Thai massage. Did you know you can get high from OXYGEN? Why do we even bother damaging ourselves with other forms of intoxicants and stimulants when we can simply just breathe?

“Shoop shoop,” indeed.

We started off our spa day inhaling the good shit and exhaling the bullshit. Had I not already been sitting down, I probably would have fallen over as I started to feel the heady side effects of my oxygenated brain cells releasing serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin.

Those breathing exercises put me in the perfect frame of mind to receive the gifts to follow. When I lay down on the carefully prepared futon, I became clay and released my body into the hands of Ayana. I’ve had massages before and they are amazing but I have never had my body stretched the way I was experiencing it during this session. The session began with a neck and head massage, Ayana pulled her hands from the bottom of my neck up towards the back of my head and then around my forehead and scalp. As someone who suffers from chronic sinus pressure and tension headaches, this felt amazing. She moved on to my arms, wrist and hands, stiff joints relieved of their locked positions.

At this point in the session, I’m started to notice a theme with her movements and it reminded me of yoga with the flow and movement of the poses into the different positions along with the focused breathing. Having had positive experiences with yoga in the past, I trusted her process. My body benefited greatly from the massage. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, she pulled out a tuning fork and my body vibrated to the sound of the universe. It was amazing. I felt no pain or discomfort anywhere in my body and I was completely relaxed.

I drank some water and moved on to my next session, Soul Tapping with Dominique. I ended up having a one-on-one session. I followed her in chanting affirmations while we used our pointer and middle fingers to tap on different points on our faces, forehead, temples, cheeks, etc. I had my eyes closed during the tapping and chanting and I began to see colors, shades of purple and blue. In a discussion with Dominique afterwards, I mentioned to her that I wanted to strengthen my intuition. I wanted to have my faith and trust in my decisions on the direction of my life.

Dominique enthusiastically shared with me the colors I was seeing during my meditation represented intuition. Indigo, a color which is a mixture of blue and purple, represents the Third Eye Chakra. This Chakra represents intuition, focus, self-awareness. It seems I was opening myself up to exactly what I wanted for myself. It brought the entire experience to a perfect close.

I came down from the mountain feeling on top of the world.

Special thanks to Ayana and Dominique! I highly recommend their services and you can contact them for to book their services via their website at https://www.kehealingvibes.com/.
